Thank you for your interest in adopting from Animal Allies in Virginia! Please keep in mind that this is a lifetime commitment, though there is no pressure to adopt. We want to ensure the best possible match between you and our kitties!

Once your application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet with your desired cats/kittens. If you decide to take them home, we will work with you to help the kitties acclimate smoothly and make sure they're a good fit for your family. Once you're ready to adopt, we will have you fill out a legal contract and make their adoption official!

Once the kitties are happily settled, you will be asked to pay a donation fee that helps cover the medical care the pet(s) received under our rescue including spaying or neutering, leukemia/FIV testing, and any age-dependent distemper and rabies shots.

We generally adopt kittens who are under 7 months old together in pairs, or with another furry companion already in your home. Read more about why having a furry friend for your kitten is beneficial!
